About

BF 109 first started operational during the Spanish Civil War in 1937. It was one of the most advanced fighters when it first appeared with a completely metal monococcal construction, a closed cockpit and a retracted landing set. Liquid cooling, reversed V12 Aero motor is strengthened. Although not the official German name, it was called ME 109 by allied air crew and some German axes.
It was designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser, who worked in Bayerische Flugzeugwerke from the early 1930s to the middle of the 1930s. In addition to the task of hunter, one of the needs and the progressive conditions of the war, as well as discovery, bombardment, high and low altitude hunter models were produced with different bodies, engine and weapons options. During the World War II and after the war, BF 109, which served in various countries for years, has the title of the most produced hunter aircraft in history with a total of 33,984 aircraft produced from 1936 to April 1945.
Pilots from Italy, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria and Hungary fly 109. Thanks to its continuous development, the BF 109 was superior to allied warplanes until the end of the war.
