II. During World War II, German artillery had a variety of special equipment to facilitate their tasks. As a matter of fact, tools such as scissor binoculars and range finders are frequently seen in war photographs from that period. Dragon has produced stunning 1/6 scale replicas of these two instruments. The scissor scope (called Scnfernrohr in German) was not limited to artillery use only but was also widely used for observation on the front lines. The model perfectly imitates the real product - the binocular head is rotatable and the eyepieces are removable. The scissor periscope also has its own tripod with adjustable legs or alternatively the legs can be folded completely.

Meanwhile, the rangefinder is equally detailed. The belt and straps faithfully replicate those of the original, allowing a 1/6 scale gunner from Dragon's wide range to be carried accurately on his chest. The level of detail is so high that even screw heads and serial number are represented on this distance meter. Both the rangefinder and scissor scope are complete plastic kits in themselves, and modelers will find them extremely easy to assemble. This two-piece kit set is perfect for adding detail to a German figure or using as an accessory in a vignette.
