Model Specifications

• Schürzen (Armor Shields): The most important feature of the kit is that it comes with additional armor plates (Schürzen) that cover both the turret surroundings and the hull sides (wheel area). These pieces are produced in a very fine and scaled form for 1/72 scale.
• Slide-Mold Technology: Thanks to Dragon's advanced slide mold technology, the lower body and superstructures are produced in one piece but with high detail. This improves the fit quality of the parts and shortens the assembly time.
• Precision 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 Gun: The 5 cm gun, which is the main weapon of the vehicle, is produced with an open barrel end. This is a very rare and valuable detail for a model of this scale.
• DS (Dragon Styrene) Pallets: Contains soft "DS Track" pallets that can be easily adhered with plastic glue and hold paint. Since they are one piece, their assembly is practical and their level of detail is comparable to broad bean pallets.
• Photo-Etched (PE) Details: There are metal PE parts in the box for some thin fasteners of engine ventilation grilles and armor shields.
• Ausf.M Specific Details: The sealing covers designed for deep water passages and the Ausf.M specific details in the exhaust system are included in the kit in their original form.
• Rich Decal Options: A high quality decal set suitable for vehicles that served on different fronts (especially during the Battle of Kursk) is included.

Panzer III Ausf.M replaced the Ausf.L. It had the same 5 cm KwK39 L/60 main gun and its modifications included a deep-water ford silencer along with a set of head seals that enabled it to cross water obstacles up to 1.3 meters deep. To meet popular demand, Dragon has released its latest Panzer III kit (Ausf.M) equipped with Schürzen, protective steel plates designed to thwart enemy anti-tank weapons. Moreover, Dragon's kit depicts a tank participating in the Battle of Kursk in July 1943, the largest tank battle in history, involving 8,000 tanks!

The striking box cover illustration depicts a Panzer III M fighting at Kursk. Meanwhile, inside the box are all the necessary and desirable materials to build an accurate 1/72 Panzer III M. Schürzen plates and associated brackets were also produced. The kit is extremely well designed and the separation of parts has been handled brilliantly by the design team. Markings for vehicles from the Battle of Kursk, including the unit at Kursk, are of course available in the form of Cartograf decals!
