PZKPFW IV (Panzerkampfwagen IV) was a German middle tank from the Second World War. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in 1936 and mass production continued during the 1938-1945 period and ended with the production of about 8,600 vehicles. The D Version of the Tank was run with a single Maybach HL 120 trm engine with a capacity of 300 HP. It was equipped with 1 75 mm KWK 37 L / 24 ball and 2 7.92 mm mg 34 machine guns.

The PZKPFW IV was created as a result of a competition announced by the German Arms Department at the end of 1934 up to 18 tons and a 75 mm ball equipped with a 75 mm ball. During World War II, the German armored forces could be safely called "labor" and was one of the most intensely developed and modernized Wehrmacht tanks. During production, many types of PZKPFW IV were created. Chronologically, the first was a 75 mm short -barreled ball and a version A equipped with a 230 horsepower engine. However, versions of B and C, where several important changes were made, emerged rapidly: First of all, more powerful engines (in version B 265 HP and 300 HP maybach HL 120 trm - PZKPFW IV until 1945) and the armor of the whole vehicle was improved. The F1 and F2 versions were a real revolution in which the front armor was increased to 60 mm and the main arming was changed to the large, long -barreled 75 mm KWK 40 L / 43 ball that allowed them to fight any ally or Soviet in 1942 and 1943. The most frequently produced versions of PZKPFW IV were versions G, H and J, which were very similar to F1 and F2 versions. The main arming has not changed significantly (still KWK 40 balls), engine and chassis. On the other hand, the armor was a little strengthened and from the beginning of 1943, armored screens (Schurzen) were attached.
