About
It is an armored combat that was first designed and manufactured by the Hanomag company of Nazi Germany during the Second World War. These vehicles were produced more than 15,000 during the war.
There were four main models (A - D) with many types of the vehicle. The basic thought was the use of a vehicle to deliver a infantry squad to the battlefield by protecting the enemy light weapons and artillery fire.
The first two models were produced in a small number. The C model has made this model a very complex tool for production, which has been produced more, but made to provide reasonable protection from light weapons fire. The D version is simpler design and can be easily recognized by one piece, bent, flat rear doors.
The standard personnel carrier version is equipped with a 7.92 mm mg34 or MG42 machine gun placed in front of the open personnel compartment. A second machine rifle, usually used for anti -aircraft, is mounted on the back of the vehicle.
These tools were used to carry out operations with Panzergrenadier (mechanized infantry) soldiers together with panzers and provide support to the infantry when necessary. In practice, the number of these vehicles was never sufficient and many Panzergrenadier units had to settle for trucks for shipping. Just like Panzer Lehr, only very little Wehrmacht Elite Division has received a sufficient number of this tool to equip its infantry units.
This vehicle, aircraft weapons, light howitzers, tank weapons, mortar and even steepestable artillery rockets carrying special purposes. A version of infrared search light is also produced in order to conclude potential targets for Panther tanks equipped with infrared sensations.
It was quite economical compared to the time of the vehicle with a gasoline consumption of 50 liters per 100 km. Discovery tasks were used in the transportation of tank weapons (PAK 38, PAK 40 Tankswar balls) and injured activities. The name of the free and faster version is known as SD.KFZ 7. SD.KFZ. 10 Model Improved, enlarged infrastructure using SD.KFZ. 251 consists of the rear pallet system and the personnel section of the vehicle and the transformation of a steyş into a wagon. So SD.KFZ 10 km more than 10 is slower.
Today there are still hundreds of work. It was reproduced by the Czech Republic in 1955 under the name OT-810. In these versions, diesel motor used bodywork was kept in accordance with the original. Production was stopped in 1960.
