About

Sturmgeschütz III, by the Nazi German army Wehrmacht II. It is the most important offensive ball used during World War II. Panzer III was built on the chassis of the tank. The main purpose of construction was to directly support infantry troops during the conflict. In addition, later in the war, it was used against tanks using tanksvar bullets. Sturmgeschütz, which was produced in 10,500 units during the whole war, was a tool with excellent cost-performance rates.

He was born in 1935 with Colonel Erich Von Manstein's proposal to General Beck in 1935 with his proposal on Sturmartilleri who would directly support the infantry troops. On June 15, 1936, Daimler-Benz received an armored vehicle with a 75 mm ball on the company. The angle of return of the ball was not much and there was no upper part to maintain the crew. The height of the vehicle was up to a normal human size.

Daimler-Benz took advantage of the chassis of the Panzerkampfwagen III light tank for this vehicle and the walking evening. In 1937, 5 prototype Stug models were transformed from PZKPFW III AUSF B tank. The prototypes had a 75 mm Sturmkanone 37 L/24 ball with steel armor and Krupp brand short -barreled.

The aim of the Stug III was to put pressure on enemy infantry troops. Therefore, 75 mm stuk 37 L/24 balls were attached to his first models against the enemy infantry. Upon the ineffective of this ball against the Soviet T-34 tanks in the later periods of the war, the Stug III model was attached to 75 mm Stuk 40 L/43 or Stuk 40 L/48 (in the autumn of 1942).

In his later models, 7.92 mm MG34 machine rifle was installed in the Stug III tower against the enemy infantry.

In 1944, the Finnish army, which acquired 59 Stug III from Germany, used them against the Red Army. In response to the loss of 8 vehicles, in total, these vehicles destroyed 87 enemy tanks. Until the 1960s after the war, these vehicles were used by the Finnish army.

II. After World War II, the Red Army gave some of these vehicles to Syria. Syria used these vehicles against the Israeli army during the six -day war.

Sturmgeschütz III AUSF F during the task of the most pasyal conflict during the task in September 1942 during the siege of Stalingrad took place. Stug.abt.244 under the command of Oberwachtmeister Kurt Pfreundtner destroyed 9 Soviet tanks in 20 minutes. The commander was honored with the Knight's Cross medal on 18 September 1942 on September 18, 1942.

Between 1 and 4 January 1943, he destroyed 12 Soviet tanks in the Stug.Abt.184 Demyansk region under the command of Unteroffizier Horst Naumann. On January 4, Naumann was honored with the Knight's Cross medal for destroying a total of 27 Soviet tanks.

However, the biggest success is the success of the 2nd Sturmbannführer Walter Walter Walter Kneep, which was attached to the 2nd SS Panzer Division between July 5, 1943 and 17 June 1944. He was honored with the cross medal.

Although the name of Tiger and Panther tanks was heard, the Sturmgeschütz series was the most important attack ball in the war and a tank destruction. The most important reason for this was that they were small. Many German attack balls were carrying 75 mm balls. Sturmgeschütz crew was the most distinguished class in the artillery class. Sturmgeschütz troops made a very difficult record to break in the autumn of 1944. In total, they destroyed about 20,000 enemy tanks. On April 10, 1945, a total of 1,053 Stug III and 277 Stuh III served. It was produced from March 1945 from a total of 9500 Sturmgeschütz III.
