Pz.kpfw VI (SD.KFZ.181) Tiger is a German heavy tank from the 2nd World War and is one of the most famous war vehicles of that period. The German Panzerwaffe's command had the idea of ​​creating a heavy tank since the beginning of the war, but the first initiatives in the form of centuries -old Neubahrzeuge have failed. They were ineffective in 1939 and 1940, but after the clash with the T-34 and KW-1 on the eastern front, the work on the new heavy tank accelerated. On April 20, 1942, the prototype of the new tank VK 4501 (H) was subjected to field trials in the presence of Adolf Hitler and was soon launched. The first production versions were called pz.kpfw vI ausf.h1 (later ausf.e). In the production process, in 1942-1945, the tank was systematically changed as follows: for example, the addition of feifell dust filters, different settlement of headlamps, modernization of optical equipment, changes in the commander's tower and so on. The drive was provided by the Maybach HL230 P45 12 -cylinder carburetor engine with a capacity of 700 HP. Although PZ.KPFW VI Tank did not have a controversial front body like T-34 or Panthara, it was a very effective KWK 36 L / 56 88 mm-equipped heavy armored vehicle (front armor up to 120 mm), gaining the most influential tank of the Second World War. It was much better than Allied M4 or Churchill and the Soviet T-34/76. He could also easily fight with IS-2 or M-26 and leave them behind with the effectiveness of the main arming. On the other hand, Pz.kpfw VI had some disadvantages - above all, production took extremely time and had a very complex suspension.

In the later period of the war, the quality of Tiger's armor worsened because the German economy had no access to Molibden beds. Despite these disadvantages, Tiger proved that there was a very effective weapon in the battlefields. Tunisia, Kursk belt, Normandy and Eastern front successfully fought.
