Isu-152, II. It is a Soviet motor weapon developed and used during World War II. It continued to serve until the 1970s and was used in various operations and countries.
The beginning of ISU-152 came on January 24, 1943, when the first prototype of the water-152 emerged. This was a completely closed weapon howling in the KV-1S tank chassis. The project was called 236 (объект 236). The project was completed in 236 factors in Chelyabinsk and successfully tested from 24 January to 7 February 1943. The vehicle was accepted on February 14 and was put into production under the name of KV-14 (кв-14); In April 1943, he was changed to water-152 (су-152).
Although the water-152 was successful in the war, the production of the KV-1S tank chassis ended and required the modernization of the vehicle using the new IS tank chassis. On May 25, 1943, he ordered the modernization of SU-152, including the administration of the 100 factory, increasing armor protection and other improvements. In July 1943, development began as the main designer under the supervision of Joseph Yakovlevich Kotin (Chief designer of Soviet heavy tanks) and G. N. N. Moskvin.
The new design called IS-152 (ис-152) was tested between September-November 1943. In the test, a large number of deficiencies sent back for more improvement appeared. On November 6, 1943, an order was given to adopt the variant developed under the name of ISU-152 (ису-152) and in December, production of the Chelyabinsk Kirovsk Factory began to replace the water-152.
