Apollo 15 is the ninth team in the Apollo program of the United States, and the fourth team descending to the Moon. The first J task was to stay longer on the Moon and focus on science more than previous ups and more. Apollo 15 saw the first use of the Lunar wick tool.
The task began on 26 July 1971 and ended on August 7, the discovery of the moon surface between 30 July and 2 August, the commander David Scott and the Moon module drove the local area using the traveler James Irwin Hadley Rille, and enabled them to travel more than possible in previous tasks.
