M3 was a semi -palette, a semi -crawled American armored personnel used by allies during World War II and the Cold War. The M3, which is derived from the M2 semi -pallete car, was produced extensively with approximately 15,000 standard M3 and more than 38,000 variants.

The M3 has been extensively replaced with several dozen variant designs produced for different purposes. During World War II, the M3 and variants were supplied to the US army and maritime -passers and the British Society of Nations and the Soviet Red Army forces during the war. M3 and varieties were produced by many manufacturers, including Diamond T, White Motor Company and Autocar. They were adapted to a variety of use such as a flip -made anti -aircraft weapon or a flip -made ball. During the Cold War, the vehicle was used by various state and non -state operators in conflicts in South America, Middle East, Africa and Asia and remained in service until the mid -1990s.
