About
Wachregiment was founded in 1921 when the guard of the authorities of Reich was the guard of the authorities and had an unity of intervention against both the communists and the national socialists in Berlin during the internal confused period.
It has become the most distinguished unity of the German army (Reichswehr), both because their duties were different from other army troops and to take part in the continent of ceremonies during their visits by foreign representatives.
Their education was heavy and only the best soldiers were taken to the Union.
Apart from that, a strong body structure was necessary.
With Hitler's arrival in power in 1933, their monopoly positions were shaken.
Because Leibstandarde SS Adolf Hitler, who was connected to the National Socialist German Labor Party (NSDAP), was doing Hitler's guard.
Hitler realized that Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht would fall into conflict for the guardianship of the state leader, and he intervened and prevented this important conflict.
As a result of this intervention, Hitler would protect the SS guards, but the duty of Wachregiment was expanded as the guard of Berlin and the presidency, and in 1938, Führer Belegleit Brigade (Führer Refacat Brigade) was named.
This army and Waffen SS would not have the last dispute.
When he came to 1939, Hitler himself became the name of the Union, referring to Lebensraum (living space), the Great Nazi ideal.
II. With the beginning of World War II, they were ordered to join the French campaign upon Hitler's instruction.
From this moment on, they would not have been present in Berlin except for short rest visits.
