Joachim Peiper (born January 30, 1915, Berlin - D. July 13, 1976, Traves, Haute -Saône, France), mostly known as Jochen Peiper II. According to The New York Times, the inclusion of Peiper in the celebrations on Facebook triggered "a widespread reaction on social media". The Ministry of Defense apologized and deleted the post and the commemoration series continued.
