About
HMS Khalifax, which was put into service in the British navy in 1768, is the Schooner Class patrol ship.
The ship for the British navy in the Khalifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, was built for use in the North American region.
In 1774, the command of the ship was transferred to Lieutenant Joseph Nunn.
After an active career on the coast of North America, Machias was ruined on Foster Island near Mainine on 15 February 1775.
A local pilot reportedly resigned.
Nunn, officers and the military war in the crew, attributed the loss to the pilot's ignorance.
Nunn had nothing about the disappearance of the pilot when he was transporting from Sheep's Island to Boston for his crew with a local ship owner.
The sunks played a role in the Machias War that year, when Admiral Samuel Graves ordered the rescue of their weapons.
A later ship called Halifax was purchased in North America in 1775.
However, his lines were identical to the califax sink that year, and therefore he was rescued and returned to service.
