Hummel (SD.KFZ.165) was a German trailer motorituated from the Second World War. The first prototypes of the vehicle were produced in 1942 and mass production continued between 1943-1945 and resulted in the production of approximately 700 vehicles. Hummel was equipped with a single -engine Maybach HL 120 trm of 300 horsepower. It was equipped with 150 mm SFH 18 howitzers and 1 7.92 mm mg 34 machine guns. Hummel was produced as a rag motorituated to cooperate with German armored divisions and tanks and mechanized infantry in armored grenades. The chassis was based on elements from PZKPFW III AUSF J and PZKPFW IV Ausf F. The war compartment was behind the body, the engine was in the middle, the driver and the radio operator were the leading. Only one version of the Hummel howitzer was produced, but in the next production series, the body was slightly extended, which provided more space for the crew at the front of the vehicle.
