In 1957, Silver Hawk was introduced as a columned coupe that replaces both Power Hawk and Flight Hawk. The 185 serious Champion engine was standard in the model and the 259 Commander V-8 was only available on export models. Sky Hawk was also dropped in 1957 and that year only two Studebaker Hawk models were presented: Champion Six Silver Hawk and super-charging president 289 V-8 Golden Hawk. With 289 super -charged engine, only one -year model '58 Packard Hawk was also available.Apparently the silver hawk was more simple than Golden Şahin. In addition to being a coupe, Golden was always a hardtop, there was a little less chrome, there was no super charging or protrusions on the hood, and a simpler two -toned paint scheme was adopted - only one color chrome was under the chrome strap line and on the other, but unlike the Golden Sahin, it contained the lower color. Some dealers just painted the palette and sometimes painted in the luggage cover and/or left and right "side grids". These were usually compatible with the interior, some were blue, gold, red or black, and according to many owners, it looked better than the two -tone paint scheme in the factory.
