For 1969, the Chevy II name plate retired, leaving Nova name plate. "Chevy II by Chevrolet" Luggage Cover Rosette "Nova by Chevrolet" and the "Chevy II" badge on the grill was replaced with the bow tie emblem, and the 1969 model Chevrolet sales were introduced under the name of Nova Model.As with other 1969 GM vehicles, locking steering columns were included in Nova.
