About Gunze

In 1999, Alclad II Lacquers was founded in the UK to offer modelists with a range of realistic natural metal coatings that are easy to use. The 3 initial color range was expanded the next year and included reference product for plastic.

In 2001, 5 paints were introduced for Lexan/polycarbonate radio controlled cars. The existing product list consists of 23 metal coating, 5 special effects coating, 9 transparent color, 3 primer/base floors and also micromesh polish glands.

In 2001, a facility in the United States was added to the UK production and started to provide joint service to Europe, North America, Australia and Far East markets.

While new materials and coating technologies are tested and investigating, research and development works continue.

Alclad II has become the option of many models for natural metal coatings. The quality of Alclad II, architectural models, special production motorcycles, Hollywood special effects, Bvmjets flying model planes, fishing line accessories and universal Studios Orlando has led to various uses.
