Hobbytime Review
The USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a Yorktown-class aircraft carrier built in the 1930s for the United States Navy. He was a seventh US navy ship with this name. It was the sixth aircraft carrier of the United States Navy. It was launched in 1936, II. It was one of the three American carriers assigned to survive before World War II (others Saratoga and Ranger). He participated in greater actions of war against Japan than all other US ships. These actions include: The attack on Pearl Harbor - 18 Douglas SBD Dauglas Pike Bombarding Aircraft came on the harbor during the attack; Eight aviators were killed and two were wounded, and the two were injured, which made him the first American aircraft carrier with his men in Pearl Harbor and the first ship to win during the Pacific War, the Midway War, Eastern Solomons, Santa Cruz Islands Battle, the other various air-sea collisions during the Guadalcanal campaign .Enterprise, II. He won 20 war stars for any US warships in World War II and II. It was the most fancy US ship in World War II. At the same time, after the Pacific War was declared, it was the first American ship to sink a full-sized enemy warship when his plane sank on 10 December 1941 I-70. During the war three times, the Japanese sank in war and inspired the nickname "Gray Ghost". At the end of the war, his planes and weapons dropped 911 enemy planes, sinking 71 ships, and 192 more damaged or destroyed.
Enterprise was one of the fourteen ships that took the early RCA CXAM-1 radar. Captain George D. Murray took over the command of the aircraft carrier on 21 March 1941. He first served in San Diego (Dive Bomber, Errol Flynn and Fred Macmurray) and then served in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. After the President Roosevelt ordered the fleet to be "forward -talks", the aircraft carrier and the air group received intensive training and carried the planes to American Island bases in the Pacific. On November 28, 1941, the Naval Fighter Aircraft Fleet 211 (VMF-211) left Pearl Harbor to deliver to the Wake Island on 28 November 1941. It was planned to return to Hawaii on December 6, 1941, but was postponed because of the weather, and on December 7, 1941, it was still in the sea to the west of about 215 Naval Miles (398 km) of Oahu.
With the introduction of more than two dozen and more developed aircraft carriers at the end of 945, Enterprise was considered as excess for the post -war needs of the American navy. He entered the New York Navy Shipyard for deactivation on January 18, 1946 and was excluded on February 17, 1947. In 1946, it was planned to be delivered to the state of New York as a permanent monument, but this plan was suspended in 1949. Later, attempts were made to protect the ship as a museum or monument, but the efforts to provide funds could not collect enough money to buy the ship from the navy, and Enterprise was sold to Lipsett Corporation of New on 1 July 1958. York City was scrapped in Kearny, New Jersey. A promise was promised to include the unique tripod pole in the new football stadium of the Naval Harp Academy, but never fulfilled; Instead, a monument plaque was still placed on the base of the structure called "Enterprise Tower". Scrapping was completed as of May 1960. In 1984, a permanent "corporate exhibition" was allocated to host the Navy Aviation Museum, the Naval Air Base Pensacola, Florida, and other interesting elements in Florida. And New Jersey is a sixteen fitness (4.9 m) name plate located on the stern of the ship near the Little League park in River Vale. One of the commissioning plaques and anchors is exhibited at Washington Navy Yard on Washington DC
