Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate, the frigate class served in the US Navy. He contributed to the victory of the US Navy during the 1812 War of 1812 and received from the Komodor Oliver Hazard Perry (Matthew Calbraith Perry's older brother), known as "Hero of Lake Eriie".
