Hobbytime Review

Flacpanzer IV "Wirbelwind" (German Hurricane) by the Nazi German army Wehrmacht II. It was a kind of anti -aircraft weapon used during World War IV. Production was started in 1944. It was more successful than the aircraft weapon in the Möbelwagen.
In the early years of the war, Wehrmacht was not very interested in anti -aircraft weapons. Because in these years, Luftwaffe was the only dominant of the heavens. However, in the following years, the Allied forces seized the air superiority. As a result, the Germans began to produce aircraft weapons as well as fixed vial balls. These weapons were mostly used to protect the convoys in motion.
Panzer IV was removed from a taret of a 2 mm flavierling 38 L/112.5 gun into a top structure with nine -edged and above. First, a closed turret was preferred, but the open turret was used due to the smoke created by 4 weapons.
The 2 cm bullets used in the weapon of the Wirbelwind were not very effective against enemy planes. Therefore, the vehicle was replaced with a 3.7 cm vial 43 Ostwind model, a single ball.
In addition, Wirbelwind was a very effective weapon against the enemy infantry because of his armor and fast firepower. A total of 87 or 105 Wirbelwinds was produced during the war. It is not known exactly how much it is produced. During the war, the effect remained at a very low level.
