Tiger II or full name Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B is a German heavy tank used in the Second World War. Tiger I, the successor of Tiger II, combined the thick armor used in the heavy tank Tiger I with the sloping armor used in the middle tank Panther. The tank weighed about 70 tons and was protected by 100 to 185 millimeter thick front armor. As the main weapon, long -barreled 8.8 cm KWK 43 L/71 had a tank ball ball. The chassis design was also used in the Jagdtiger TankSavar vehicle.
Tiger II, which started to be designed in January 1943, entered the production line in October 1943. Between February and May 1944, it was sent to the educational troops and to the front troops in June 1944. Tiger II worked in the German army and Waffen-SS's heavy tank battalions. It was first used by the 503th heavy panzer battalion during the 11th of July 1944 during the Normandy of the Allies. Equipped with Tiger II on the Eastern Front, the first unit was the 501th. Heavy Panzer Battalion with 25 Tiger II in its inventory on 1 September 1944. The war was actively used until the end of May 1945.
Tiger II, II. It was the most severe tank used in World War II. Although he could easily destroy the allied tanks opposite the Eastern and Western fronts, he did not affect the outcome of the war because he was produced a small number.

Today, the only employee example of Tiger II is exhibited at Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France. 101. This tank belonging to the 1st company of the SS Heavy Panzer Battalion has the "production turret" and is open to the public. It is thought to have been abandoned by the crew in Brueil-En-andxin near Mantes-La-Jolie due to the problem in the engine on August 23, 1944. He was rescued by the French army in September 1944 and hiding in a factory in Satory before he was sent to the museum in 1975. Colonel Michel Aubry, the founder of the tank museum, which is believed to carry the taret number 123, put 233 TARET number in honor of Tiger II, who destroyed the M4 Sherman tank he commanded at the end of the war.
