Hobbytime Review

B-52 Stratofortress is a long-range strategic bombing aircraft produced by the American Boeing company.
The B-52s were developed to carry nuclear bombs to the USSR territory during the Cold War. He made his first flight on 15 April 1952. Since 1954, B-36 Peacemaker and B-50 were replaced by the US Air Force. In the US Air Force, they are known as "Buff". They are used effectively in the bombing of large areas without high rate of accuracy by using simple non -guided conventional bombs called carpet bombardment. Most of the bombs in the Gulf War were thrown by the B-52s. Although the carrying capacity is less than the B-1B Lancer, the range is slightly longer.
On January 18, 1957, 3 B-52B broke the record around the world. This flight lasted 49 hours and 19 minutes and the air was supplied 3 times.
On May 21, 1956, the aircraft that threw the first aerial hydrogen bomb on Bikini Atolu was a B-52.
