Hobbytime Review

Rockwell B-1 LANCER [n 1] is a supersonic variable sweeping wing, used by the United States Air Force, the United States. It is usually called "bone" (from "B-one"). [1] As of 2022, B-2 is one of the three strategic bombing planes serving in the US Air Force fleet with B-52 Stratofortress.
B-1 was first conceived in the 1960s as a platform that will combine Hustler's Mach 2 speed with the range and carrying capacity of B-52, and ultimately replace both bombardment planes. Following a long series of work, Rockwell International (now part of Boeing) won the design competition that emerged as B-1A. This version had the MACH 2.2 maximum speed at high altitudes and the ability to fly for long distances at MACH 0.85 at very low altitudes. The combination of the high cost of the aircraft, the introduction of the AGM-86 cruise missile, has blown the basic speed and distance, and all of the early work on the secret bombardment plane significantly reduced the need for B-1. This led the program to cancel the program after B-1A prototypes were built in 1977.
The program was largely restarted in 1981 as a temporary measure due to delays in the B-2 secret bombardment program. This led to its redesign as B-1B; This was different from the MACH at a lower maximum speed of 1.25 at a higher altitude than the B-1A, but the low altitude rate increased to 0.96. Electronics were also developed comprehensively and the body was developed to allow departure with the maximum possible fuel and weapons load. The deliveries of the B-1B began in 1986 and in the same year as a nuclear bomber, the Strategic Air Command (SAC) officially entered into service. In 1988, all 100 aircraft were delivered.
With the distribution of Sac and re-appointed to the Air Battle Command in 1992, the B-1B was transformed for a traditional bombing role. In the war, he first served in 1998 during the desert fox operation and the following year during the NATO operation in Kosovo. B-1B supported the US and NATO military forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. Air Force has 45 B-1B inventory as of 2021. [2] Northrop GRUMMAN B-21 Raider will begin to replace the B-1B after 2025; All B-1s are planned to be removed from use by 2036.
