Boeing F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet, McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet based on a double-engine, carrier-featured, multi-purpose fighter aircraft variants. F/A-18E Single and F/A-18F tandem seat types are larger and more advanced derivatives of F/A-18C and D Hornet.
Super Hornet has an built -in 20 mm m61 doner ball and can carry weapons from air to air and air to air. Additional fuel can be carried in the external fuel tank up to five and the aircraft can be configured as a tanker in the air by adding fuel supply system from an external air to the air.
Super Hornet, which was first designed and produced by McDonnell Douglas, first flew in 1995.
