Hobbytime Review

Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (or T-Bird) is an American sound training aircraft. It was produced by Lockheed and made its first flight in 1948. The T-33 was developed from the Lockheed P-80/F-80 and started as TP-80C/TF-80C in the development phase and was later called T-33A. It was first used by the US navy as T-33B after TO-2, then TV-2 and 1962. Bolivia Air Force, the last operator of T-33, retired in July 2017 after 44 years of service.
The two-person T-33 proved to be suitable as an advanced instructor and used for tasks such as drone director and target drawing. In the early 1960s, the US Air Force began to take T-33 out of the Pre-Case Pilot Training at the Air Training Command, as the Cessna T-37 Tweet and Northrop T-38 Talon planes began to take their place for license pilot training. (Upt) Program. The T-33 was used to educate students from the Air Force Academy in Peterson Field (now the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs). In 1975, the T-37 replaced T-33 for Academy training. The last T-33 used in advanced education was renamed on 8 February 1967 at Craig Afb in Alabama. [3] A similar change occurred in the US navy with TV-1 (renamed T-33 in 1962), since more advanced aircraft such as T-2 Buckeye and Douglas TA-4 Skyhawk II came into play. USAF and USN versions of T-33 were soldiers in the 1970s and 1980s as useful aircraft and competence educators with USAF and USN; Some of the former USN aircraft were used as full -scale air targets for air -to -air missile tests. Navy aircraft and navy ships from land to air missile tests. USAF McDonnell F-101 Voodoo, Convair F-102 Delta Dagger and Convair F-106 Delta Dart units have been appointed as a few T-33 equipped. The National Air Guard Units of the Air Defense Command are applied as adequacy trainers and "BOGEY" aircraft. The others later went to the tactical air commander and the Tac won the National Air Guards F-106 and McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II units in a similar role until he finally retired, and the last was an NT-33 variant in April 1997.
